Step 1 Schedule Your Session
Fill out the form below to submit your recipe so that we can have your kitchen prepped and ready. If we have any film or planning related questions about your recipe, we’ll reach out. Be sure to read Step 2 & 3 before your session!
Step 2 Prep for Your Session
A few days before your session you’ll want to do the following.
-Choose outfits. Solid colors and large print patterns look best on camera. It’s always fun when there’s color coordination, but it’s not required.
-Gather Print Materials. You’ll need a hard copy of your recipe. Handwritten recipes look best, but a printed recipe is ok too. If you have any photos of grandma making or serving this recipe BRING THEM!
-Gather Ingredients. Stories Told Media will provide flour, sugar, eggs, butter, and salt. Please be sure to bring any additional ingredients needed for the recipe.
-Prep a FINISHED version of your recipe. Because the session only lasts 45 minutes, we will not have time to wait for your recipe to finish cooking. We will film all the step up until the final stretch of cooking. Then we will film your pre-session item to showcase the final product.
Step 3 Make Precious memories
Our mission for your shoot is for Grandma to have a blast with her grandkids and walk away with a smile. In the meantime, we’ll be leading them through the process of making a high quality recipe video that you’ll be able to use practically as well as watch over and over again for the memories.
Here are a few things that will make for a great shoot:
-Arrive on time and ready to begin filming
-Bring your hard copy of the recipe as well as a “finished product”
-A parent of our kid stars helping behind the scenes
-Water and snacks for grandma and kiddos in case someone has a grumpy moment.
